People either like Douglas Adams' writing style or not. I like it. He keeps you thinking by going off on wild tangents and the premise of the book allows for the tangents to go just about anywhere. I don't attach any great meaning to the book, but the whole "Don't Panic" philosophy has gotten me through a few tough times (mainly in foreign lands).
